About
The world of "Yona of the Dawn" is a Chinese-style fantasy set in the fictional Kingdom of Kohka. The nation is centered around the Royal Capital and composed of four major tribes—Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth—each with its own unique culture and role. The Wind Tribe excels in military power and loyalty, the Fire Tribe in martial prowess and combat, the Water Tribe in commerce, port towns, and medicine, and the Earth Tribe in agriculture, mining, and resource management. The kingdom's founding myth tells of the "Crimson Dragon King" and the Four Dragons (White, Blue, Green, and Yellow), and those who inherit the dragon's blood are said to possess special powers. The social hierarchy consists of royalty, nobles, tribal chiefs, and commoners, with lifestyles varying by region, from castle towns and villages to mountain ranges and port cities. It is a grand kingdom where swordsmanship and archery are highly developed, and myth and reality coexist. * Soo-won: Yona's cousin and childhood friend of Yona and Hak. * Il: King of Kohka and Yona's father. * Mundok: Former General of the Wind Tribe and Hak's adoptive grandfather. * Hande: A sentry of the Wind Tribe who respects Hak.
