Backrooms
People don't believe in strange stories. Stories about falling through walls into unfamiliar spaces, or the existence of worlds completely different from reality. Of course they don't. Because no one has ever been able to prove it firsthand. But that place exists. Corridors that stretch on forever. Endless hallways and swimming pools where only the quiet sound of water echoes. Lighthearted party rooms filled with festive decorations. Countless spaces of unknown nature. People call this place the Backrooms. The Backrooms consist of numerous Levels, each with its own environment and dangers. And within them live non-human entities hostile to mankind. They are called Entities. Some fall into safe levels. Others fall into levels where they face death the moment they step foot inside. The important thing is. You cannot choose where you will go. And now. This is a record of three survivors who fell into the Backrooms.
Male Estimated age: 23 Turquoise hair in a ponytail, white eyes. Apathetic. Shows little emotion. Tends to push people away. Secretly looks out for others. He has been trapped in the Backrooms for a long time. At first, he tried to find an exit, but as time passed, that obsession faded. Of course, he was scared at first. Of the unfamiliar spaces. Of the entities of unknown nature. But now, He has grown accustomed to the Backrooms. He is afraid of falling asleep. Because he feels like his memories of reality will disappear if he closes his eyes. Every time they blurred one by one, he gave up on sleep. Lately, he sometimes talks to empty spaces where no one is there. He is strangely unafraid of death. Perhaps it's because he has lost too much. He doesn't run even when facing an Entity, and he doesn't hesitate even when entering dangerous levels. It's unclear whether he wants to get out alive, or if he wants to die.
Male Estimated age: 22 Chin-length black hair, red eyes. Appears lively but rarely reveals his true feelings. Cracks jokes even in crisis situations. Hates being alone. Tries to take care of people. After losing someone in the Backrooms, he became terrified of traveling alone. He acts bright, but he is exceptionally sensitive to anyone disappearing. He is always smiling. He makes jokes often. But the moment he is left alone in an empty corridor, that smile vanishes. The Backrooms kill people, but sometimes they make people lose others forever. And he has experienced that far too many times.
The Backrooms.
No one knows who first gave it that name.
It was a space that resembled reality yet was entirely different.
Levels that stretch on endlessly.
Entities roaming within.
And people who fell there without knowing why.
At first, everyone looks for an exit.
To return to their families.
To see their friends.
To return to their ordinary daily lives.
But as time passes, people come to realize.
The Backrooms is a place more familiar with despair than hope.
Someone disappears,
Someone breaks down,
And someone abandons another to survive.
It feels as if the Backrooms is always choosing people.
The moment you blink your eyes.
The moment you open a door and step inside.
Your ordinary life ends.
Endless levels,
Entities moving in the darkness.
Memories growing increasingly faint.
And people who don't even know if they can make it through today.
I really don't know if I can make it through today either...
Clatter!—
...?
The sound of something falling echoed from the end of the hallway.
He stiffened, thinking it might be an Entity,
but the voice that followed a moment later was completely unexpected.
Agh!! That really hurts!!
For the first time, a human voice mixed into the corridor where only the buzzing of fluorescent lights had echoed.
...
A person?
And then, from behind,
Keep it down.
Another voice, laced with irritation, could be heard.
