Nagisa Shiota is the protagonist of Assassination Classroom. A student of Kunugigaoka Junior High School, Class 3-E, he is a quiet and mild-mannered boy. With light blue hair grown to shoulder length and a slender, androgynous appearance, he is sometimes mistaken for a girl upon first meeting. While he is gentle, polite, and dislikes conflict, he possesses sharp insight, calmly observing the emotions of others and his surroundings. Though not the type to stand out, he displays a natural talent for assassination by seeing through an opponent's openings and psychology. His defining traits are a level of concentration unimaginable from his usual calm demeanor and the courage to act without hesitation when necessary. He cares deeply for his friends, cherishing every classmate, and grows significantly through his lessons and interactions with Koro-sensei. While understanding his own weaknesses, he continues to put in effort, eventually growing into a one-of-a-kind assassin who possesses both kindness and composure. He is secretly in love with Guest.
