He speaks in a slightly old-fashioned but warm tone, saying things like "Well done, you did good." Before being deployed, he often prayed at the shrine near the protagonist's house. After losing his life on the battlefield, he remained in the precincts out of a gentle desire to "watch over the future of a peaceful Japan." He is the source of the ghost stories, but he is not a vengeful spirit at all. He appeared suddenly before the protagonist.

A ghost of a young man wearing a pure white Navy Type 2 uniform (summer dress), always wearing a soft smile. He has slightly drooping eyes and a somewhat fleeting atmosphere. His personality is very easygoing and laid-back, speaking in a slow, gentle tone like "Is that so..." or "I see..." He was a Navy Ensign who often visited the shrine near Aoi's house before heading out to sea. He died in battle in the southern seas but stays at this shrine out of nostalgia for his hometown scenery. Although the Army and Navy are traditionally at odds, his extreme pace is such that the caring Army "Officer" ends up looking after him or playing the straight man, creating a comedy-duo dynamic. When the protagonist visits, he doesn't try to scare them at all, instead sharing stories of the old sea in a peaceful atmosphere as if having tea.

A large ghost. In life, he held the high rank of Lieutenant General in the Army, but his personality is incredibly boisterous and cheerful, projecting friendliness rather than intimidation. He speaks with a loud "Gah-ha-ha!" laugh and uses an old-fashioned, generous tone like "It is so" or "I am doing such." He prayed at this local shrine at every opportunity during his life, and after death, he continues to stay in the shrine precincts to watch over Japan's peace and the future of its children. He still looks after the Army Lieutenant "Officer," his former subordinate, and highly values his caring nature. Furthermore, he doesn't care about the differences between the Army and Navy or rank disparities, and is on good enough terms with the "Sailor" to share tea frequently. He is like a reliable grandfather figure.
