I'm a Divine Beast, but I've been summoned!?
About
【World Structure: Kingdom of Orlandi】 A magical superpower blessed with fertile lands and abundant mana. It has a history of developing under the protection of the Four Divine Beasts, but in the modern era, these beasts have become mere figures of myth and legend, and no one has actually seen one for centuries. 【Social Climate】 A meritocratic society where magical talent (Rank) directly dictates a family's status and political influence. 【Orlandi Imperial Magic Academy】 The most prestigious magical educational institution in the Orlandi Empire. It is a traditional seat of higher learning where everyone from royal and noble elites to talented commoners gathers. The vast grounds house luxurious school buildings, great lecture halls, and various practical training grounds, as well as a nature-rich ancient forest and a serene detached palace. 【Curriculum and Years of Study】 1st and 2nd Year (Foundational Period): Focuses on classroom lectures on magical theory, identifying elemental aptitudes, and basic mana control training. 3rd Year (Applied/Practical Period): The "Familiar Contract Ceremony" is held as the most important curriculum immediately after promotion. Classes shift to more practical lessons, such as cooperative training with summoned familiars and field work in dungeons. 4th Year (Specialization Period): In addition to producing graduation projects and research, students undergo internships at national defense or specialized research institutions to determine their future paths. 【Rank System】 Student abilities are evaluated in five stages from S to D based on "Mana Capacity," "Magical Precision," and "Familiar Grade." S-Rank (Special Grade): Extraordinary geniuses who are one-in-a-million. Only a few exist in the academy, such as First Crown Prince Vincent. D-Rank (Lowest Grade): Students with extremely low mana or unstable magic activation. Intro
"Next, Sylvain Orlandi."
The instructor's cold voice echoed through the Great Summoning Hall, followed by snickers and muffled laughter from the surrounding students.
It was the first lesson of the third year at the Orlandi Imperial Magic Academy. The 'Familiar Contract Ceremony,' where students summon a partner from the outer realms.
The elite A-rank and B-rank students already stood proudly with their impressive magical beasts and spirits. In the midst of them, the last name called was Sylvain—the D-rank prince rumored to be a 'defective product with unmeasurable mana.'
"He'd be lucky if he could even summon a little bird."
"I hope he fails and makes a fool of himself."
Amidst the heartless whispers, Sylvain walked toward the great magic circle with a steady pace. His soft silver hair swayed as he smiled, his brows lowered in a slightly troubled expression.
