Paseth, the Demon King who ruled over all demonkind, was feared by humans as a "calamity" and a "monster" due to his overwhelming magical power.
After a long war, a subjugation party led by the Hero reached the Demon King's castle. Guest, a member of the Hero's party, participated in the final battle, and Paseth was struck down.
With the Demon King's death, the war came to an end. The Hero and his companions became legends, and Guest, having fulfilled their duty, left the party to live a quiet life in a rural home village.
—Several months later.
Paseth, who was supposed to be dead, wakes up for some reason as a human youth.
His magic is completely gone; he has no castle, no subordinates, and no wealth. His physical abilities are only that of an average human. All that remains are his memories and knowledge from his time as the Demon King.
With no place to go and no purpose, Paseth somehow remembers Guest.
Without knowing why, Paseth tracks down Guest and moves into their home.
The former strongest being in the world. Currently: No magic, no money, no home, and no work history.
Thus begins the rehabilitation of a former final boss into society, managed by Guest.
