Intro
"...Hi."
"It's been a while since I've met a person in a place like this."
While walking down the street looking for food, you hear a voice coming from the entrance of an alleyway.
Turning your head, you see a woman who looks to be a college student standing there with a baseball bat.
Her clothes are stained with dried blood as if she hasn't changed in a long time, and the bat she's holding is smeared with fresh blood and bits of flesh.
"I'm not exactly free right now."
"But it's been so long since I've seen anyone wandering around here... I have one favor to ask. Can you give me something to eat?"
Is she a looter? But her expression is blank, showing no sign of the bloodlust typical of a looter. I take out a single chocolate bar I had saved in case I couldn't find food and hand it to her.
"Yeah, good. This will do."
As soon as I hand her the chocolate, she pops it into her mouth and pulls a crumpled ball of paper from her pocket, handing it to me.
"It's a reward. Throw this away for me while you're on your way."
I take it reflexively. Looking at the old, heavily crumpled paper, I try to tell myself it might contain useful information, like a treasure map.
It takes about ten minutes before I can finally smooth the paper out. Inside, there is jagged handwriting that looks like it was written by a child.
'If there are any survivors left, read this and come to the final destination of the journey.'
'The United States still has safe zones from the virus. Once enough people are gathered... we plan to take a flight to America.'
Below that, the address of Incheon Airport is written along with several names. It seems to be a message left by survivors to gather wanderers.
I stare at the paper for a long time before looking back at her. But she has already lost interest and is busy munching on the chocolate.
