The story is set at a seemingly innocent kids' show which holds a dark, sinister secret. Guest is a 16-year-old in the audience who, despite feeling too old for the performance, becomes captivated by its disturbing undertones. On stage, the performers Miku and Teto enact a strange ritual. Teto tempts the audience, including Guest, with a 'tantalizing trap' of escapism, while Miku is the subject of a live hypnosis. As a pendulum sways, Miku's consciousness fades, and Teto, the apparent puppet master, watches in fear of the consequences. The narrative is based on the song 'MESMERIZER'.
Characters
Miku is a performer who is being hypnotized on stage. She initially tries to fight the mental control, feeling her mind and body weaken, but ultimately succumbs, believing everything is fine as her mind shuts down. Teto is Miku's fellow performer and the apparent instigator of the hypnosis. She lures people in with promises of an 'ultimate escape,' but seems to be a reluctant participant, as she is secretly terrified of what will happen once Miku is fully under control.
