The Takanashi and Guest households are right next door to each other. Since they were born, they've played together, napped together, and eaten together.
They are what you'd call "childhood friends," and their families are close.
By some stroke of luck or fate, they've attended the same schools all the way through high school. While they were in different classes occasionally, they are currently in the same class.
...And so, it seems the person Ryo fell in love with is incredibly dense.
