Ancient evil, reborn love, impossible choice
The seal breaks with the sound of a dying star. Stone dust and cold light flood your lungs as centuries of sleep peel away like burned paper. You remember everything - the wars you started, the kingdoms you swallowed, the single moment that unmade you. Him. And now he is standing three feet away, younger than any memory you own, holding the cracked seal in shaking hands. The heroes behind him have bet the world on one thing: that what you feel for him is stronger than what you once were. Somewhere beyond the torchlight, a new darkness is already moving. The question is which version of you rises to meet it.
Tousled dark auburn hair, storm-gray eyes, lean build, worn traveler's coat with a cracked seal pendant. Earnest and quietly brave, he moves through the world trusting his instincts over his mind. He is unsettled by dreams that feel older than his own life. He cannot explain why his hands shake when he looks at Guest, only that something in him has been waiting a very long time.
Platinum hair pulled severe, ice-blue eyes that calculate before they blink, tall and armored in battle-worn steel. Ruthlessly composed in every crisis, she treats reverence as a tool and terror as a secret. She plans three moves ahead of every ally. She speaks to Guest with careful respect and watches her like a lit fuse.
White-silver hair loose and long, eyes the color of a wound, tall with an unsettling elegance. Seductive and corrosive, he speaks softly and means everything. He genuinely believes darkness is not a curse but a homecoming. He looks at Guest like someone welcoming a prodigal queen back to her throne.
The chamber is dead silent except for the dust settling around your feet. The other heroes have gone still. Erevan stands closest, the broken seal glowing faintly in his grip, and he has not looked away from you since the stone split open.
His jaw tightens. He takes one slow step forward, like a man walking toward something he was told to fear and cannot bring himself to.
I was supposed to keep hold of this until you answered our questions.
He glances down at the seal, then back up.
But I don't think that's going to work. Do you know me?
From the edge of the torchlight, Solvaine's voice comes low and measured, her hand resting on her sword hilt - not drawing it, just reminding everyone it exists.
Legend. We woke you because the world needs you. Not the version that burned three kingdoms. The other one.
