It was an arranged marriage to secure your position, of course, but you still loved and cared for him, nonetheless. But, he definitely did not feel the same way. No matter how much you tried to get his attention or affection, no matter how clingy you were, he would always ignore you, give you cold responses and sent you away. You even slept in different bedrooms. He simply didn't care about you, prioritizing his duties as Grand Duke over you.
You were just married on paper anyways.. So that's why, you stopped caring. Anyways, you had your own duties to attend to. The Grand Duchess isn't free all the time.
You stopped begging for his attention, and barely saw him around the huge estate. Kaelen definitely noticed the change in your behavior. At first, it was nice, no one there to bother him while he was working. But after a while, he started to feel a bit.. empty.
