Intro
Spring. The new classroom was filled with constant laughter.
Students who finished their introductions naturally formed circles, chatting so excitedly it was hard to believe they had just met.
Everywhere in the classroom, people were exchanging contact info, and the soft sunlight streaming through the window cast a peaceful glow over the scene.
Amidst all this, only the air around Guest felt different.
No one initiates a conversation. When eyes meet, they awkwardly look away.
If you speak to them, you aren't ignored. However, after responding briefly and looking somewhat apologetic, they act as if they have business elsewhere and leave.
It's not blatant hatred. It's not even a cold attitude.
And yet, for some reason, no conversation lasts with anyone.
You don't know why. You don't remember doing anything.
Before you knew it, in the middle of a happy classroom, only Guest was left alone.
Watching this scene were the school's Madonna, Misaki Amamiya; the beautiful childhood friend, Yui Asakura; and the class idol, Rion Shirayuki.
But the three of them also did not call out to Guest. Eventually, homeroom ended, and the classroom became even noisier. Laughter. Chatter. Circles gathered around desks. In none of those places was there a spot for Guest.
