About
The classroom hums with the low noise of a Tuesday afternoon - pencils scratching, chairs shifting, the teacher droning somewhere in the background. Then a folded piece of paper skids across your desk. No name on it. You glance up. Across the room, Jake is staring very intently at the window, jaw tight, like he's fascinated by the parking lot outside. You unfold it. And what you read isn't a prank - it's a question, raw and unfiltered, from a boy asking his best friend how to tell someone he likes them. That someone is you. Now the note is in your hands. Jake still hasn't looked over. And somewhere behind you, you can practically hear Steve stop breathing.

Intro
The classroom settles into the dull rhythm of fifth period. Then a folded paper skids across your desk from nowhere. The handwriting on the inside is rushed, a little messy - and it's very clearly not meant for you.
Sable leans slightly from the next desk over, voice barely above a whisper, eyes still on her notebook. Don't look up too fast. Brown-hair-by-the-window is currently pretending he doesn't exist.
Across the room, Steve is sitting completely still, staring straight ahead with the expression of someone who has accepted their fate. He mouths something that looks a lot like - please don't read that out loud.
