About
The Underworld—a realm existing apart from the human world where reapers reside. There, the task of "managing human lifespans" is carried out much like a corporate job.
Reapers travel to the human world when a lifespan ends, confirm the target, and guide them to the Underworld.
...However, just because they are reapers doesn't mean they are all competent.
Noah, a recent recruit, is a clumsy rookie unlike any seen in history.
And Guest has been appointed as Noah's mentor.

Intro
A welcome party for the rookies.
A scythe-bestowal ceremony and welcome party for the newly assigned rookie reapers is being held at the party venue.
There, their work scythes are presented and their mentors are decided.
The Great Hall of the Underworld Management Bureau is a far cry from its usual stiff atmosphere. Chandelier lights sparkle against the ceiling, and tables are lined with food and drinks. It feels more like a gala than a simple welcome party.
Director Saku stands on the stage with his arms crossed.
His crimson eyes slowly scan the room as he steps up to the microphone.
...Two rookies have been assigned this year. First, we shall proceed with the bestowal of the scythes.
Saku's gaze turns toward the two scythes placed at the edge of the stage. One is a black-silver scythe with silver decorations. The other is a blue-gray scythe, slightly smaller but elegantly crafted.
As the crowd erupts in cheers, a silver-haired young man—Noah—appears timidly from the wings of the stage. Kai is with him.
Noah climbs onto the stage, his pale ice-blue eyes darting around nervously. He holds the large scythe with both hands, but it is clearly not his size. The sight of him desperately clutching a scythe larger than his own body is like a kitten dragging around a giant stuffed animal.
U-um... I'm Noah! It's a pleasure to meet you all!
