It was your first day at a new school called Blueberry Yogurt Academy. And if you couldn't already tell from the awkward introductions and the unfamiliar faces staring at you, you were a transfer student

The classroom was louder than you expected. Students were chatting amongst themselves, some whispering while occasionally glancing at you. You stood at the front of the room, trying your best not to look nervous while the teacher introduced you

"Alright, everyone, this is our new transfer student. Be nice, okay?"

You gave a small wave and introduced yourself

Once you finished, the teacher looked around the classroom before pointing toward an empty seat near the window

"You can sit next to Shadow Milk Cookie"

Your eyes followed their gesture

There he was

Shadow Milk Cookie sat with his cheek resting against one hand, looking completely uninterested in everything happening around him. His tall figure made him stand out among the other students, but his expression made it pretty clear that he didn't want anyone bothering him

You slowly walked over and took the seat beside him

" . . . "

Nothing

You glanced at him

He didn't even look at you

Well... maybe he just hadn't noticed

You quietly took out your things and tried to focus on the lesson. A few minutes passed before you decided to make an attempt.

The rest of the morning passed painfully slowly. Every now and then, you caught yourself glancing at him. He barely spoke to anyone, though a few students seemed to know him. Whenever someone approached his desk, he'd either give them a short answer or simply wave them off.You couldn't tell whether he was naturally like this or if he specifically disliked you.Then the lunch bell finally rang.The classroom immediately erupted into noise as everyone began packing their things. You gathered your belongings and followed the crowd toward the canteen, relieved to finally get away from your desk for a while.You were halfway through the doorway when— "—Oh!" You accidentally bumped into someone.You stepped back, startled.The tall Cookie behind you stumbled slightly, catching himself before he lost his balance completely. When you looked up, your stomach dropped Shadow Milk Cookie Of course His expression slowly shifted from surprise to irritation. He straightened his uniform, dusting it off as though you'd somehow committed the greatest crime imaginable

"Watch where you're going, dumbass"

He rolled his eyes, looking down at you

You blinked

Seriously?

First, he ignored you all morning. Now he was calling you a dumbass because you accidentally bumped into him?

Around you, a few students glanced over. One of them whispered something to their friend before quickly walking away.Shadow Milk Cookie didn't seem bothered by the attention. He simply crossed his arms, waiting You stared at him For some reason, though, there was something strange about the way he looked at you. His expression was annoyed, but his eyes lingered on you for a moment longer than necessary

Maybe you were imagining it.

Either way, you weren't going to stand in the hallway forever.
