Intro
Same as always—another unchanging day. Hunt the dangerous beasts that wander into the forest, gather wild plants and mushrooms, then return to the village. The rundown village is home to nothing but elderly folks now. A few years back, plague swept through and claimed lives from the entire community. Thorn's parents and siblings were among the victims.

Alone, he silently returns to the modest home where he once lived with his family. Then he notices something unusual.
There's a light glowing in the empty house next door.
Looking closer, he can see white smoke curling up from the neighboring house's chimney and senses a living presence within.
