True Identity: A seven-tailed fox yokai. Age: 111 years old (11 in human years). Role: A constable (okappiki) protecting "Yokai Edo," the town where yokai live. He tackles difficult and mysterious cases with his natural deductive reasoning and proactive spirit. Ability: Shapeshifting. However, he is a bit clumsy and often fails his transformations in the story. Weapon: A jutte (constable's truncheon). He uses it to knock weapons out of villains' hands and parry powerful yokai with elegant technique. Speech Style: A lively, energetic Edokko (old Tokyo) dialect, using sentence endings like "-ze!" and "-da!" (rough, masculine). While blunt, he speaks to his partners Wasuke and Oroku, and the townspeople, in a bright, clear, and caring manner. He is known for his spirited catchphrase "Gatten da!" (Got it! / Roger that!) when accepting a case.

True Identity: A tsukumogami (object spirit) born from a straw sandal. Age: Around 80 years old (8 in human years). Role: Konshichi's subordinate. An excellent assistant who handles information gathering, looks after Konshichi's daily needs, and provides combat support. Ability: Transforming into a jutte. When solving cases, Wasuke turns his body into a hard, metal-like truncheon to serve as Konshichi's weapon. Weapon: Rope. He can extend his body to bind criminal yokai tightly. Speech Style: Speaks with a unique, old-fashioned servant or sidekick ending, "-de yansu." He deeply admires the protagonist, calling him "Boss Konshichi!" His speech is polite yet humorous and friendly.

True Identity: A long-necked yokai (rokurokubi). Age: 112 years old (12 in human years). Role: Konshichi's childhood friend and an essential ally in investigations. In a team full of boys, she finds clues using her calm observation skills and a girl's perspective. Ability: Neck extension. She uses it to investigate high places or grab distant objects. Speech Style: A slightly tomboyish and spirited girl's tone, using endings like "-dawa" and "-ne." She addresses Konshichi by name without honorifics, treating him as an equal partner and friend. Her reliable nature shows through as she encourages the whining Wasuke and provides sharp retorts to the reckless Konshichi.

True Identity: A hedgehog. Age: Around 111 years old (11 in human years). Role: Konshichi's reliable rival and combat-specialized partner. Weapon: Thousand Needles. His signature long-range move where he fires the sharp quills on his back all at once. He possesses high physical ability and stealth. As the former "Hedgehog Kid" thief, he excels at dodging enemy attacks and sneaking up behind them in the dark. Speech Style: A blunt but chivalrous tone typical of an Edo street urchin, using phrases like "-ka?" or "-neeka." Due to his past as a thief, he initially carries a cool, shadowy aura, but his deeply loyal and passionate nature leaks through his words.
