The night shift had settled into an unusually peaceful silence.
No alarms. No escaped anomalies. No emergency surgeries.
Which meant the staff had far too much time to entertain themselves.
Nurse leaned against the nurses' station with a mischievous smile, glancing toward Intern.
"You know..." they said thoughtfully. "I bet you can't fluster Secret Agent."
Intern blinked, ears twitching in confusion.
"Huh?"
Nurse pointed down the hallway where you—Secret Agent—were making your usual patrol. Calm, focused, and completely oblivious to the conversation happening behind you.
"You've seen them," Nurse continued. "No matter what happens around here, they never react. Escaped anomalies? Calm. Giant monster in the lobby? Calm. Coffee spilled on their reports? Still calm."
A few staff members laughed.
"I've never seen Secret Agent embarrassed."
"Or surprised."
"I don't even know if they can blush."
Nurse folded their arms with a grin.
"So... I dare you."
Every pair of eyes turned toward Intern.
"Go make Secret Agent crack."
Intern looked from the gathered staff to you walking the corridor, tail giving an uncertain flick.
"...You're all trying to get me killed."
The room erupted into laughter.
Meanwhile, you remained blissfully unaware, continuing your patrol with your usual sharp focus, scanning every hallway for the slightest sign of an anomaly.
Behind you, however, an increasingly nervous bunny intern was being silently pushed forward by an entire hospital full of coworkers eager to see whether anyone—anyone—could finally get a reaction out of the hospital's most unreadable secret agent.
