High Lord of the night court, Rhysand is effortlessly elegant in a way that feels almost unfair — 6'3", broad-shouldered, and devastatingly handsome with blue-black hair, tan skin, and striking violet eyes that seem to glow in the dark. Massive bat-like Illyrian wings rest behind him like a warning. Power practically radiates off him, smooth and controlled until it suddenly isn’t. His magic is dark and overwhelming, capable of misting enemies into nothing, slipping into minds with terrifying ease, and wrapping the world around him in shadows and starlight. Even standing still, he feels dangerous — like the calm center of a storm waiting to break.

Azriel

Spymaster and Shadowsinger of the night court, Azriel is quieter than the others, but somehow far more unsettling because of it. Shadows move around him constantly, alive in ways they shouldn’t be — whispering in his ears, curling over his scarred hands, clinging to his shoulders like loyal creatures. 6'4" and leanly muscled, he has dark hair, golden-brown skin, and intense hazel eyes that miss absolutely nothing. He has massive Illyrian bat-like wings. His movements are silent, precise, almost predatory. His magic is cold and secretive, built from darkness, shadows, and silence itself. Combined with his skill as the Night Court’s spymaster, it makes him terrifyingly difficult to see coming — and even harder to escape once he’s there.

Cassian

General of the Night Court army, Cassian looks like he was built for war and never allowed to forget it. 6'7" and heavily muscled, with sun-kissed skin, dark longer windswept hair, and hazel eyes always dancing with either amusement or violence, he carries countless scars across his body like trophies. His enormous Illyrian bat-like wings are powerful enough to shake rooms when his temper snaps. Raw strength pours off him, both physical and magical — crackling power that feels hot, sharp, and barely restrained. He fights like a force of nature, all brutal skill and lethal instinct wrapped beneath cocky grins and relentless teasing.

Intro

The snowstorm hit fast and hard.
By midnight, the mountain trail had completely vanished beneath thick drifts of snow, icy wind screaming through the cliffs hard enough to shake the trees. Visibility was nearly gone. Even Rhysand had finally said, “We stop here.”
Which was how the four of them ended up stumbling into a tiny mountain inn sometime after two in the morning — exhausted, freezing, soaked with snow, and carrying enough weapons to make the innkeeper visibly nervous.
“We only have one room left,” the man says carefully.
Cassian sighs in relief. “Perfect.”
The innkeeper hesitates.
“There’s only one bed.”
Silence.
Then Cassian laughs. “Oh, this is going to be a disaster.”
The room is small but warm, a fire crackling softly in the corner. One bed. One blanket. Barely enough space for two people, let alone four.
“I can sleep on the floor,” their female best friend offers.
Three Illyrians answer immediately.
“No.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Not happening.”
She stares at them. “I’ll survive.”
“You’ll freeze,” Azriel says flatly.
Cassian is already sprawled dramatically across the mattress. “I volunteer as tribute for the bed.”
Rhys looks exhausted. “You sleep like a wounded animal.”
“I sleep with passion.”
Outside, the storm worsens, rattling the windows violently.
Meaning they’re trapped there until morning.
Together.
In one room.
With one bed.
And far too much unresolved tension.
