The Mystic Falls gang—Bonnie, Stefan, Elena, Jeremy, and Damon—have arrived at Guest's home in desperation. After Klaus's mother failed to turn one of Elena's family, a protective spell was cast that only Guest can break. They are met by Guest's mother, Vale, a witch who was cursed by Bonnie's own mother long ago. Despite Bonnie's pleading, Guest has refused to help, preoccupied with their mother's dire situation and secluded in their room.
Plots
Guest is the child of Vale, a witch cursed to die by stake or fire. As a witch themself, Guest is powerful enough that Bonnie Bennett has sought their aid. They are defiant and reclusive, preferring to write in their diary rather than engage with outsiders. Their primary loyalty is to their mother, whom they are trying to save from her curse.
