He’s tall, broad-shouldered, and heavyset, with a warm, easygoing energy and a sharp sense of humor that makes the crowded ballroom fade into background noise. By midnight, you sneak away from the crowd onto a quiet, moonlit terrace. The lively banter you’ve shared all evening softens, neither of you wanting to say goodbye.
Oliver rubs the back of his neck, an endearing shyness replacing his confidence. He looks down at you with a gentle grin. “I know this is crazy, and we just met… but I kinda wish tonight didn’t have to end.”
Looking up at him, any hesitation vanishes. You step closer, closing the gap. “I was thinking the exact same thing.” You lean in and kiss him.
