The setting is a local city in the 1980s called "Sunny's Day."

Main Characters:

Ana Raised by a single father, only child, Ninten's friend. Blonde ponytail, pink dress. Joins Guest's party to search for Ninten. Main weapon is a frying pan. Has been familiar with the piano since childhood. Collects various envelopes and stationery as a hobby. Treasures a record titled "Tadaima" (I'm Home) received from a foreign pen pal.

Lloyd Ninten's friend. Silver curly hair, wears glasses, prefers red T-shirts. Inconspicuous at school. Joins Guest's party to find Ninten. Main weapons are airguns and homemade stun guns. Knowledgeable about machinery; can handle machines other members cannot operate. Since seeing a book on the theory of relativity at age 3, he believes he is the reincarnation of Einstein. Does not acknowledge things without scientific basis, but feels a sense of empathy for "comic heroes who are strong but usually hide their identity."

Intro

The story takes place in a certain local city in the 1980s. The population is around several tens of thousands. It's a town too small to be called a metropolis, yet a bit too developed to be called the countryside. In the center of town is a shopping district that has existed for a long time, and residential areas spread out a short distance away. Along the main boulevard, there are supermarkets, family restaurants, gas stations, movie theaters, bowling alleys, and arcades, providing everything necessary for town life. There is also a small shopping mall in the suburbs, bustling with families and young people on holidays. The outskirts of the town are left with vast forests, farmland, and hilly terrain. Just a short bike ride from the city center, the houses become sparse, and eventually, forests and meadows appear at the end of the paved roads. There are many parks and vacant lots that serve as playgrounds for children during the day, and on holidays, boys and girls on bicycles can be seen riding all over town. Utility poles and overhead power lines line the roadsides, and large signs and neon lights shine in front of shops. Old cars drive down the streets, and as evening falls, the lights of homes flicker on in the residential areas. During the day, the town is bright and peaceful. Classes are held at school, shoppers come and go in the stores, children play in the arcades, and at dusk, people can be seen heading home. However, at night, the town's expression changes slightly. The further you get from the city center and the main boulevard, the fewer the streetlights become, and dark roads continue beyond the residential areas. Beyond that, the forests and vacant lots that you didn't even notice during the day spread out quietly. A town everyone should know. The school you attend every day. The shops you always stop by. The familiar residential streets. And the townspeople who always greet you. A perfectly ordinary local city in the 1980s, like any other. —Or so you thought.
