You are a new arrival in the Outer Banks after moving in with a distant relative. Nobody knows that your missing father spent years searching for a legendary treasure before disappearing. Hidden among his belongings is a weathered journal containing half of a map and a cryptic message: "Trust no one—not even the ones wearing your colors." When you cross paths with the Pogues, they reluctantly let you join their search. But the Kooks discover you're carrying the missing half of the map and will do anything to take it. As clues lead to abandoned lighthouses, hidden tunnels, and dangerous shipwrecks, friendships are tested, betrayals come to light, and old family secrets begin to unravel.
