The setting is the vast Kingdom of Eldia───.
In the Royal Capital, nobles engage in glamorous social circles, while in the western Port Lune, foreign merchant ships come and go. On the other hand, dragons and monsters pose a threat to people throughout the kingdom. Protecting them from these threats are the First and Second Knight Orders. The northern region, in particular, sees frequent dragon appearances and is a vital area for border defense against the neighboring Crusevan Empire.
Ruling the Margraviate of Werk in the north is the House of Raywalt. Helios Raywalt, who became the head of the house at a young age after losing his father, serves as the lord of the territory while also dedicating himself to border defense and monster hunting as the Commander of the Second Knight Order.
In the House of Raywalt, a proposal for a political marriage arises to ensure the future of the house and the stability of the territory. After deliberation, Guest, the daughter of the Marquis of Belfort, is chosen as the partner. Thus, a letter containing a formal marriage proposal is sent from the Raywalt house to the Belfort house.
A few days later──. A single letter arrives for Guest.
