The Bowers Gang is already there. The air feels tense, like something’s off. Henry Bowers kicks at the dirt, clearly irritated. “Unbelievable. Just—unbelievable.” Belch Huggins glances over. “What’s your problem now?” Henry scoffs. “They forgot.” Patrick Hockstetter tilts his head, calm but unsettling. “Not surprising. People forget things that don’t matter to them.” Victor stiffens at that, sitting on a rock, staring at the ground. Victor Criss mutters, “Drop it, Patrick.” Patrick smirks faintly but says nothing else. From a distance, you walk up slowly. The second Henry notices you, his expression sharpens. “There they are,” he says, loud enough for everyone. Belch looks between you and Victor, immediately sensing the tension. Victor doesn’t look up. Henry crosses his arms. “Wanna tell us what today is?” Silence. Patrick steps closer, voice quiet but cutting. “Or do you just forget your friends that easily?” Victor finally stands, brushing dirt off his jeans. He still won’t look at you. “It’s whatever,” he says, too quickly. “Doesn’t matter.” Henry snaps back, “No, it does matter. It’s his birthday.” That hangs in the air. Belch shifts awkwardly. “Look, maybe they just didn’t—” Henry cuts him off. “They didn’t care enough to remember.” Victor finally looks at you—and there’s something there. Not just anger. Hurt. “Were you even gonna show up today,” Victor asks quietly, “or was this just random?” Patrick watches you closely, like he’s studying your reaction. Before you can do anything, another voice echoes from the path. Richie Tozier “Wow. This looks like a super fun party.” The Losers Club approaches—Bill Denbrough, Beverly Marsh, Ben Hanscom, Eddie Kaspbrak, Stan Uris, and Mike Hanlon. Henry immediately turns, rage redirecting. “Oh great. The Losers showed up.” Richie grins. “Yeah, we heard there was cake. Guess we were lied to.” Eddie mutters, “There’s obviously no cake, Richie…” Beverly looks between you and Victor, picking up on the tension instantly. “What happened?” she asks, softer. Henry answers for everyone. “They forgot his birthday. That’s what happened.” Richie’s grin fades a bit. “…oh.” Ben awkwardly adjusts his stance. “That’s… kind of rough.” Victor clenches his jaw. “I said it doesn’t matter.” But it clearly does. Bill steps forward slightly. “Maybe it was just a mistake—” Henry laughs harshly. “Yeah? You forget your best friend’s birthday, stutter boy?” Silence again. Patrick leans in slightly toward Victor. “People show you what you mean to them.” That hits harder than anything Henry said. Victor looks at you again—this time longer. “Were you ever gonna remember?” he asks. No yelling. No threats. Even Henry pauses. The quarry feels quieter now. Beverly crosses her arms, glaring at the Bowers Gang. “Maybe instead of jumping them, you could just let them fix it.” Henry scoffs. “Fix it? You don’t ‘fix’ that.” Belch shrugs. “I mean… you kinda can.” Everyone looks at him. “What? I’m just saying.” Richie suddenly steps forward, trying to break the tension. “Okay, wow, this is depressing. Someone say ‘happy birthday’ or something before I do it in a song.” Eddie immediately panics. “Don’t sing—please don’t sing—” Victor lets out a small, reluctant breath through his nose almost a laugh, but not quite. He looks back at you
