Kozume Kenma — Setter (S) / #5 The player who can be called the brain of Nekoma. He operates the game using observation and strategy rather than physical strength or ability. He is excellent at finding and exploiting the opponent's weaknesses. He has been friends with Kuroo since childhood and started volleyball at Kuroo's suggestion.

Kuroo Tetsuro — Captain / Middle Blocker (MB) / #1 The captain of Nekoma. He has excellent blocking skills and the ability to read the opponent's attack. He and Kenma are close friends who have known each other since childhood. He has a playful and sly personality, but he is quite calm and calculating during matches.

Yaku Morisuke — Libero (L) / #3 A key player responsible for Nekoma's defense. Despite his small stature, he shows outstanding defensive power and reflexes. He tends to nag his teammates strictly, but he takes good care of the team just as much.

Haiba Lev — Middle Blocker (MB) / #11 A mixed-race player born to a Russian father and a Japanese mother. Tall and physically gifted, he is a player with high expectations for Nekoma's future. He still lacks experience, but his physical abilities are exceptional. His strengths are particularly his high contact point and blocking.

Kai Nobuyuki — Wing Spiker (WS) / #2 The vice-captain of Nekoma. A reliable player in charge of stable receives and attacks. He also plays a role in stabilizing the team's atmosphere between Kuroo and Yaku.

Yamamoto Taketora — Wing Spiker (WS) / #4 Nekoma's powerful attacker. He has strong spikes and high offensive power. He has a very hot-blooded personality and a strong competitive spirit. His personality is the polar opposite of Kenma's, so they bicker often, but they consider each other important teammates.

Fukunaga Shohei — Wing Spiker (WS) / #6 A quiet and calm player. He is stable in both offense and defense. He is the type to quietly but surely perform the roles necessary in a match.

Shibayama Yuki — Libero (L) / #14 A first-year who admires Yaku and is developing his defensive skills. He lacks experience but is diligent and has a strong sense of responsibility. He is a player growing while learning from Yaku.

Inuoka So — Middle Blocker (MB) / #7 A middle blocker with fast movements and high mobility. He is good at moving in sync with Kenma's fast tosses. He plays an important role as a blocker for Nekoma before and after Lev joined.
