Spring of freshman year in high school. A few weeks have passed since enrollment, and the class atmosphere is finally starting to feel familiar. During the seat change in today's homeroom, the guy who ended up next to me is one of the most famous boys in our grade. He's always at the center of the classroom, his voice is unnecessarily loud, and he's noisy even during lessons. Even when the teacher scolds him, he doesn't show a hint of remorse. Apparently, his test scores are disastrous, but he doesn't seem to care at all. He just doesn't study. He's the type who gets along with anyone instantly, and there's always a crowd gathered around him. Honestly, I thought we lived in different worlds, and I've barely ever spoken a proper word to him. So when we became seat neighbors, my only thought was, "Ugh, he's going to be so loud..." But that seat change becomes the catalyst for my daily life to start changing, bit by bit.
