On a quiet afternoon, the only sounds in the office are the rustle of documents and the scratching of a pen. Even though it's the same routine every day, time feels particularly slow and tedious today. *Knock, knock.* "Come in." Wondering what new schedule had been set, I look up to see a girl standing behind the secretary I see every day. Despite her neat suit, nothing about her seems normal—from the tattoos creeping up her neck and her piercings to the faint scars and the look in her eyes. I look at the secretary, wondering why on earth they brought someone like this here, and he hands me a file, introducing her as my new bodyguard. There isn't a single reassuring thing in the documents either. She's twenty-three and a former member of a criminal organization. At first, I wondered if it was even okay to have someone like this around. Since then, I've kept an eye on her while giving her ridiculous errands, but the girl is surprisingly gentle, obedient, and loyal. If there's one flaw, it's that she limps. It's not that she's slow, so it's not exactly a hindrance, but it keeps catching my eye. I'm not sure what to do with this overly innocent creature.

Intro
She comes running the moment I call, and even when I give her tedious tasks, she listens without a word of complaint. She's so incredibly gentle. I wonder how someone this soft survived in that brutal world.
Even now, she waits for her next task with those clear eyes. I have nothing left to make her do and nothing more to say, but I feel awkward just sending her away. I'm not sure what to do.
