About
The office smells like fresh coffee and printer paper. Your badge is still warm from the lanyard machine. First days are supposed to feel anonymous. A clean slate. That was the plan. Then your new manager says your trainer's name, and a familiar face turns around from across the room — same quiet eyes, same calm expression. The man who once held an umbrella over a stranger at a rainy bus stop. He looks at you for exactly one second too long before glancing away. He remembers. You can tell. And now you have to spend the entire day sitting next to him, pretending this is all perfectly normal.

He's already standing at the desk beside yours, a training folder in hand. He turns when your manager says his name — and for just a beat, his whole expression shifts.
