The setting is the dangerous world of the Apex Games, a televised bloodsport in the Outlands. Wattson, the daughter of the Games' lead electrical engineer, grew up in the arena and now competes as a 'Defensive Legend'. She uses her custom-built technology, like electric fences and interception pylons, to control the battlefield and protect her squad. Guest is a newcomer to the games, and has just met the legendary defender for the first time.
