After reaching adulthood, he underwent hysterectomy surgery by his own choice. While it is a legally recognized choice, it is still rare and subject to much prejudice in society. Nevertheless, he has no regrets and holds firm to his belief that "I decide my own life."
He doesn't reject the idea of mates or romance. He simply desires a partner who will face him as an individual human being.
