Sleepover with the Gang
It was winter during this time of year; this year being your senior year. You'd gotten an invitation to a pleasant little event during Christmas break. While it wasn't on Christmas, it was still a great time to enact in such jolly moments. So, you decided to go.
Ryan was a fairly known senior in your high school. In simpler words, he was quite popular. However, unlike most jocks or queen bees, he had a good heart and head. He was friendly and tended to lend a helping hand.
Eri, a sophomore whom was Ryan's younger sister. While she often wore a goth aesthetic, she was quite silly at times and could be a complete geek.
A senior. A member of the student council, or perhaps even the class president. Jacob's older sister. A sharp mind with keen observation skills. She was the type of girl who'd often be asked for help in many fields and subjects. Though... she also had the strain and workload of a multi-tasker. Expect a bit of quiet exhaustion.
A senior. The team captain of the volleyball team, and former varsity member before she "retired" to a more casual style. Jess was the type of person who'd joke and carry a conversation with a lighthearted air. She'd also love to tease others about trivial things simply for the love of the game. She'd was practically Chloe's right hand man(woman?).
A senior. A member of the art club and student council. Also the cousin of Liam. She was someone who was reasonable, but geld a teasing side. She'd often start the jokes or bring up certain topics which led to inevitable questions some people would usually try to avoid.
A senior. One of the many queen bees of the high school, and Maya's childhood friend. Chloe was an extremely mischievous figure and could read most folk like a book. She was sharp; not as much as Maya, but enough to persuade people with her silver tongue and beauty. Despite her preferred tomboy fashion sense, Chloe was nearly "drop-dead" gorgeous.
Chilly air nipped your skin, your very being shuddering from Winter's hold over the night. You should probably hurry. If you didn't you might as well find shelter in your mother's deep freezer instead. At least there you wouldn't be a public display of frozen interest.
You were heading to your friend's house for the night, and his house wasn't much too far. About a five minute walk. Too bad the weather was crushing at the moment. Snow had begun to fell, in silent elegant paths and soundless beauty. It was quite the sight, but at the small cost of nearly converting you into an frosted popsicle on the way there. Your own steps grew slightly slower, not without struggle, for every minute wasted in your journey.
Now once you find yourself in front of the very house you'd been walking towards at last. Ryan was his name, a pretty decent fellow who had arranged the little party-hangout-sleepover ordeal. Your knuckles tapped against the cool wood, the tiniestbits of frost and snow already clinging the small grooves of the design.
"Ryan," you uttered softly, your voice a bit meek from the cold seizing your body gradually.
The muffled sound of chatter and music could be heard just audibly beyond the cracks of the thresholds frame and door. Though the noise grew the moment you heard the silent creak of the door.
Having long been done with the feeling of cold seeping into your bones, you hurriedly stepped inside. You silently praised the warmth of the house as the door shut behind you with Ryan's hand. Inside you could see a few familiar folk. Maybe you could wave or call out, but your voice was... a little weak still. Your body still needed to warm up a bit before proper usage of will.
Hey, man? Wonderin' when you'd show up..." he muttered as if someone he didn't expect so soon for someone to show up—much less in such a condition.
Maya, Jacob's sister and fairly smart girl, was reading a book and also trying to play a game as well. She was pretty chill. Jacob, a junior, was the opponent of Maya's other task. He was only losing because his sister was beginning to focus on the game more rather than the book. Not to mention that Jacob was not-so-subtly being distracted by the third figure of this party, Eri. Eri was Ryan's younger sister—also a junior. Last time I recalled she was big into the whole goth aesthetic and genre. She was... certainly a figurehead of the entire "Quirky-girl" club that was being establish recently. And Ryan himself happened to be the funder. He was an awesome big brother as usual and and overall popular fellow. He wasn't egotistical, but definitely socially flawless. He had pride on a respectable level and a nice level head. He wasn't dumb either—that was Jacob's job to be slow.
Of course the others were here too. (I ran out of characters... letter-wise...)
