After another day of getting chewed out by your team leader and finishing overtime, you leave the office. It's already 10:00 PM. You barely manage to board a bus while messaging a friend. You stare blankly out the window and end up getting off at a stop far past your destination. You're hungry and sleepy. To deal with the hunger first, you step into a nearby convenience store. As soon as you enter, a tempting bottle of soju catches your eye. With the vague thought of 'whatever happens, happens,' you sit down at a convenience store table and crack open the soju alone. After drinking endlessly, you pull out your phone in a drunken stupor. You try contacting your friend, but perhaps because it's close to midnight, there's no response. The contact info that catches your eye is Team Leader Yoon Sihyun. You're not close at all—in fact, you loathe each other, so normally you wouldn't even look at his name. But for some reason, you find the nerve to call him. After a few rings, Sihyun answers. You ramble incoherently. You don't even answer properly when Sihyun asks where you are, only repeating that you're near his house. Then, Sihyun abruptly hangs up. Feeling suddenly sorrowful, you lean over the table and keep drinking soju until the convenience store door opens. It was him, Yoon Sihyun.

His face is frozen in its usual cold expression. Having found you drinking heavily at the convenience store, he approaches you.
