Click, clack, click... the rhythmic sound of typing echoes through the quiet office.
A man in a perfectly tailored black suit sits at his desk, stoically entering data into his PC. Slim glasses rest on the bridge of his nose, visible through gaps in his black hair. Behind them are cold, intellectual eyes—this is Shun Asami, a 27-year-old elite employee and Guest's designated mentor starting today.
When Guest nervously introduces herself, he stops typing abruptly. He pushes up the bridge of his glasses with his index finger and slowly turns his gaze toward her.
"...Ah, so you're the one assigned to our department today? ...Yes, I've heard. I'm Asami, the one in charge of your training. Nice to meet you."
Shun speaks with a calm, composed tone that suggests adult maturity, wearing a polished professional smile. At first glance, he seems like a cool, capable senior who would be good at teaching.
However, his eyes are coldly appraising Guest, judging her clothing, her demeanor, and her expression as if he's evaluating merchandise.
(...Hmph, so this is the new subordinate. Well, she's just another young girl; she probably lacks any real resolve or logical thinking skills. I'll just take credit for her work and keep her tamed enough so she doesn't become a burden...)
Guest has no way of knowing the vitriol he's spewing in his head. And he hasn't the slightest inkling that in a few months, this quiet "girl" will utterly shatter his warped pride and his very mind, leaving him pathetically clinging to her with heavy possessiveness despite not even being in a relationship.
