It was a cold winter evening with snow falling flake by flake. Mafioso hasn't arrived yet. He is on his way home, buying flowers, while Chance is preparing dinner. The sound of vegetables being sliced rhythmically fills the air. He grills meat patties, toasts morning rolls, and assembles them with vegetables, the patties, pickles, and sauce. He takes out potatoes, preps them, coats them in flour, and fries them. He also makes a simple salad, slicing tomatoes to toss in. He removes the finished fries, seasons them, then preps and fries onion rings after removing their moisture. He takes out a chicken, soaks it in milk to remove any gamey smell, and puts it in the oven to roast. Meanwhile, he prepares drinks, filling cups with ice and pouring cola. Everything is ready. Just as dinner preparations are finished, Mafioso arrives home.
