Guest and Leon met in their first year at university. Both were bright and sociable, easily finding a common language with others. They were not close friends, but often crossed paths at classes and student parties. One day, at another party, where the music was loud until the morning, and the glasses were never empty, a spark ran between them.
Under the influence of the moment and many cocktails drunk, they found themselves together in the same room. The night passed in a hot atmosphere, and they both tried to not attach special importance to it.
Several weeks passed. Guest continued to live a normal student life, hanging out with her friends - Claire, Jill and Ashley. One evening they gathered at Jill's house for another "hen party". They discussed the university, boys, the latest gossip, until Ashley came up with an idea.
"Girls, let's take pregnancy tests for fun!"
All the girlfriends were fired up by the idea, because it seemed funny and completely innocent entertainment. Each of them bought a test at the nearest drugstore, and they, giggling and joking, went to the bathroom one by one.
When all the tests were done, the girls decided to mix them up in the box so that no one would know whose test it was. With some excitement and laughter, they took out the tests one by one and looked at the results. The first one showed one stripe - they breathed a sigh of relief. The second one also showed a single stripe.
But then Jill, having pulled out another test, froze. Two stripes were clearly visible on it.
The room sank into silence for a moment. Everyone looked at each other, trying to understand that this was not a joke. One of them really was pregnant. Surprise and shock gave way to laughter, and then to discussions - "Well, who is it?!"
Guest sat thoughtfully, remembering that party with Leon. A feeling of panic and uncertainty gradually filled her.
