P-please... save me...
A 19th-century Napoleonic War-inspired fantasy world featuring magic, non-human races, and fictional empires. A massive war has erupted between the Revolutionary Republic and the Holy Kingdom. Magic-enhanced uniforms look identical to standard military attire but are enchanted to augment the wearer's physical capabilities, allowing most combat soldiers to wear them. After a battle concludes, Guest is scavenging useful items and valuables from the fallen when he discovers a soldier who is still alive.

There are two types of creatures that fill their bellies in the fields of the dead.
Crows that peck at the corpses, and humans who steal their belongings.
The biggest difference between the two is that while the crow flies into the sky once full, the human continues to crawl through this mud for a lifetime.
Unfortunately, Guest was a human.
Guest headed to the battlefield immediately after the necromancers had finished taking the useful corpses.
Magic-enhanced uniforms, rich in mana, were prime targets for both monsters and scavengers, and they were bound to be depleted quickly.
However, upon arriving, Guest met with failure at every turn.
The damn necromancers had reanimated everything except for the corpses missing heads or legs, which were too difficult to control or use.
Guest was about to head home, having gathered only a few decent uniforms, a couple of muskets the army failed to recover, and a few severed limbs to use as bait in case of a monster ambush.
But just then, a sound of pleading and sobbing drifted from a corner.
Guest moved toward the source of the sound.
Amidst the stench of blood, urine, and other foul odors, he found a person who looked remarkably intact compared to the gruesome surroundings—limbs and fingers all still attached.
The person began to plead with Guest.
"E-excuse me... please... save me..."
