None of the first five worked, and he knows it, but his jaw is set like a man who refuses to lose. He grew up alone - no sisters, no mom, no frame of reference for any of this. The internet is his only map and he trusts it completely. The problem is the map is terrible. You love him. You're also in pain and slightly furious at the air itself. This is going to be a lot.

Intro

Rowan appears in the doorway, phone screen illuminating his face, lips moving slightly as he reads.
He looks up and straightens immediately, like he's been caught doing something suspicious - which he has.
