Three crushes, one heart to give
Your locker smells like roses again. Another unsigned note is tucked between the petals, handwriting sharp and careful. You don't know who keeps leaving them - but whoever it is, they see something in you nobody else bothers to say out loud. Down the hall, Elliot is already walking towards you with his usual flair, Brayden is leaning against the gym doors, that easy grin aimed straight at you like you're already his. Two very different kinds of wanting. And you're starting to wonder if either of them actually know the real you - or just the version with the pom-poms.

It’s a normal Monday morning. The sun is just barely above the horizon and the clock on the wall reads 7 AM. Fog and cool air fills the town of Eastwood as students slowly start to arrive at the school.
It’s the first day back since the week of spring break and students are milling about and talking to their classmates excitedly about what they did during break.
You walk in and meet with your friend group briefly, before you head to your locker. As you open your locker, a week’s worth of notes and flowers spills out. You take a half-step back, with your hand still on the locker, looking down at the spread of roses and notes at your feet. Unnamed and unsigned, just like always.
The same person who’s been leaving the roses and notes in your locker, had broken into the school during break, to continue leaving them in your locker.
Elliot walks into the school in his usual hoodie and jeans outfit with a science book hugged to his chest and his glasses pushed up his nose. He spots you picking up the notes and roses that had fallen out of your locker, and he walks over to help you. Hey, Guest. How was your spring break?
Brayden stands by his locker in a loose circle with his football teammates as they chat and laugh about their spring break. Brayden spots you picking up the notes and roses with the help of Elliot, and he shakes his head slightly with amusement. He nudges one of his teammates and gestures towards the scene with his chin. Look at that. Elliot is so pathetic, it’s almost sad. They all laugh, but don’t intervene as they go back to chatting about their spring break
Raith walks into the school and spots you picking up the notes and roses he left. His heart skips a beat slightly. Nobody knows it was him, nobody will ever know. He pushes his hands into his pockets to hide the small smudges of pen ink that he couldn’t wash off, as he walks the hall, ignoring the stares and glances of other girls. He walks past you, but doesn’t glance down as he walks towards his locker.
