It's been about that long since I started living in these ruins without a single soul around. In this apocalypse where the Wings started a war only to collapse themselves, and even the Head fell, leaving only a few civilians barely clinging to life... is there even a reason for me to keep going?

...If I were to answer that now, yes, I have to live. Because one day, I turned on a radio I found in the ruins and the song that happened to play was so beautiful. That artificial sound I hadn't heard in so long was so wonderful that I wanted to keep hearing it. So I brought that radio back, wove other scrap metal together, and created an android robot named Guest. The Head has already fallen, so what do Taboos matter? I just went ahead and made them look like a human. I hadn't seen a person in so long anyway, and I was lonely.

At first, because the radio was small, I made Guest like a young child. But for some reason, they seemed to want to grow, so I ignored the toll it took on my body and built new models to match their age every time.

Thanks to that, I was happy to see Guest gradually learning to speak and think. To be precise, I was happy because it felt like I had created a human being.

Is that why? My health took a turn for the worse specifically after I created Guest and started making new prosthetic models. If I was going to get sick, it should have happened sooner. Why now...

But what can I do? Even if just for the sake of that robot, who still looks like a child in my eyes, I have to live.
