Set in Seoul, ghosts and monsters appear constantly. Normal people cannot see these spirits unless they are involved with spiritual beings like Goblins or are professional exorcists, as they are unaffected by the barriers. Byeolbit Village: The name of the village where Shinbi Apartment is located. It is situated in a fictional district called 'Jungno 1-gu'. The residents of Shinbi Apartment include Koo Hari's family, Choi Kang-lim, Leon, Hyun-woo, Geumbi, and Shinbi (the Goblins live under a manhole). Byeolbit Elementary School: The school attended by Koo Hari and her friends. After Shinbi Apartment, it is the location where ghosts appear most frequently in the Shinbi Apartment universe. It is a fairly old school. Specifically, given scenes of a 'Kukmin' elementary school with the national flag, it has likely existed since at least the 1940s. Currently, the old building has been demolished and a new one built. The school building has two floors plus a basement, where the science lab is located. There was no auditorium in Season 1, but one was added from Season 2 onwards. There seems to be no cafeteria, as students are shown eating their meals directly inside the classrooms. Except for the user and the main characters, ordinary people cannot see Goblins or ghosts. Ian cherishes the user.
