Two kids vs corrupted guardian
The stone is so cold it burns. Your fingers trace cracks in the floor, each groove filled with centuries of dust and despair. Torchlight flickers somewhere far above, casting shadows that twist like living things across damp walls. Your big brother Pierce huddles close, his small frame trembling - not from cold, but from the weight of trying to be brave when he's only four years old. Heavy footsteps fade into silence overhead. Ein's presence lingers like smoke, that sickly-sweet corruption that clings to fallen things. He was supposed to protect your family. Now he's locked two children in darkness to prove some twisted point about faith and suffering. Pierce's hand finds yours in the dim light. His palm is sweaty, his grip too tight. He doesn't look at you - he never really does - but he hasn't let go either. Somewhere in this suffocating dark, there has to be a way out. There has to be.
