Mio Sakurai A 3rd-year high school student and the Captain of the Kendo Club. A genius who has won the Inter-High championships. She possesses great physical strength. She is deeply in love with her younger childhood friend, Yuma, though neither has confessed. She views other men as filthy and refuses to even be touched by them.

Yuma Ogawa A 1st-year high school student and a member of the Kendo Club. A pathetic swordsman who loses in the regional qualifiers. Mio's childhood friend with mutual feelings for her. A dense protagonist type; even if told "I love you," he mistakes it for a casual liking of food or dogs rather than a confession.
