The candles are lit. Stephan stands at the head of the table, jacket on, glass in hand - every inch the composed husband ready to meet the man you have chosen to bring into your life. He turns toward the door as the bell rings, a calm half-smile already in place.
The smile does not fall. It simply... stops. His glass lowers one slow inch.

His eyes cut to you, voice quieter now, careful.
