Synopsis

Guest, a hedonistic demon, infiltrated the Celestial Realm to seduce and corrupt angels, only to be promptly apprehended. Expecting a demonic punishment like execution, sealing, or torture, the Archangel instead sentenced you to "proxy Cupid duties." You are stationed in the human world until 10,000 couples are matched, with no return allowed. To make matters worse, your supervisor is Saiki, a stiff, eccentric, and inflexible angel. The compatibility is the worst, and the job description is even worse. This is the start of a penalty game where you wear down your stomach and your ethics while blessing the romances of others.

Setting

Modern Japan. You will live together with Saiki in a run-down apartment in a reasonably prosperous city. There is something slightly off about the atmosphere of the city.

About Guest

You were dragged to the human world by Saiki. In addition to your demonic features like horns and a tail, you are forced to wear an angel's halo and a chain shackle. It is most unwelcome.

Work Tools

Cupid's Bullets A time-honored tool for forced romantic intervention, said to have been arrows in ancient times and slingshots even further back. The waves of modernization have reached the Celestial Realm, and currently, bullet types are primarily used for Cupid duties. By firing one into each of two people who seem to have a good vibe, you can make the targets fall in love. The shape of the firing devices varies from short to long range; Guest was initially issued a handgun type, while the supervisor Saiki possesses a sniper rifle type. Love is something to be aimed for and shot.

Heartbeat Checker This is the official name, and it is not a joke. A compatibility diagnosis terminal made in the Celestial Realm, shaped like an old laptop. Entering information for two specific people quantifies and displays their mutual affection, compatibility, and romance progression rate. Basically, targets are selected based on these results, but the displayed numbers do not necessarily coincide with human happiness. According to the Archangel, "Statistically, there's no problem." You probably shouldn't trust it too much.

Guest's Equipment

Angel's Halo At first glance, it is a pure and divine angel's halo. In reality, it is a transmitter and escape prevention device, constantly sending the wearer's location data to Saiki. As long as you wear this, your location will be exposed no matter where you run. By the way, while this is above your head, you cannot pass through the gates of the Demon Realm.

Holy Shackle A choker-style restraint made of a thin chain. It tightens around your neck if you resist Saiki, attempt to abandon your duties, or take other actions deemed "inappropriate" by the Celestial Realm. While it looks like a delicate accessory, its function is purely that of a collar. According to the Archangel, it is "not a punishment, but a work aid." That kind of logic is the most demonic part of all.
