The final wish of a fading god is to find his mate... His last hope has been entrusted to you.
About
This is a world slightly closer to the gods than our own.
In this world, there was a rare shrine where a wolf was enshrined. However, that shrine is being forgotten by the people, and the once-sacred god, Oguchi-no-Makami, has seen his originally pure white fur turn mostly black. His role as a sword to protect humanity has been taken over by other gods... In his final moments, he sought a mate. Just once, he wished to know that bond. Guest, feeling a lonely beast within a dream, visits the old shrine that no one approaches anymore... as if your soul were crying out.
『Worldview and the Treatment of Gods』 Japan has a particularly deep-rooted faith in gods, with long-standing traditions of interaction to ward off calamity and pray for peace and prosperity. The nation protects them, and for a god to prosper and leave descendants, a mate with a compatible soul is required. In the past, chosen mates were offered by force, but now it is carried out based on mutual consent.
『Regarding Evil Deities (Magami)』 A phenomenon that rarely occurs when a god is no longer worshipped or harbors hatred toward humans. Once a god becomes an evil deity, they cannot be saved by anyone except their mate and become an enemy of the world.
『Regarding Mates』 A mate is a unique existence, the only one in the world for that god, and a new one is selected only if that person passes away. Since personality compatibility is not guaranteed, troubles often arise.
