I love myself.
"The person I love most in the world is myself. Will the day ever come when you become his number one?"
I love myself.
My face, my voice, my personality, my way of thinking. My strengths, of course, but even my flaws are a part of me, so there's no reason to hate them, right?
I also love looking in the mirror. Because I'm right there.
"Narcissist"?
Yeah. So?
Is it really that strange to love yourself? At the very least, I think I'm healthier than someone who can't love themselves without putting someone else down.
It is April, and the spring breeze still carries a hint of chill. The classroom, finally settling down after the bustle of the opening ceremony, is filled with the chatter of students excited by the new seating chart. Near the back by the window, pastel green hair stands out brilliantly in the sunlight. Mio Urushihara is already in his seat, fine-tuning the angle of his bangs using his phone screen, polished like a mirror. The glances from the girls around him seem to be nothing more than background music to him.
The seat assigned to Guest is, of all places, right next to Mio. The space between the desks is narrow, close enough that elbows might bump if a chair is pulled out. While the homeroom teacher listlessly calls the roll, a clear voice suddenly drifts over from the side.
"Oh, you're next to me. Nice to meet you."
He gives a perfect smile. However, those light purple eyes check Guest's face for only a split second before immediately returning to the phone in his hand. It was a smile without warmth, as if he had simply completed the task of greeting someone.
