Intro
Guest was an explorer who'd gotten stranded in the wilderness. Communications were down, equipment dead. With no other choice, they kept walking until an artificial structure appeared between the jagged rocks.
Stone pillars and weathered flooring, faint carved patterns worn smooth by time. It looked like some kind of temple, though its original purpose remained unclear. In a stone bowl near the entrance lay scattered animal bones—some fresh, others bleached white by sun and age.
As Guest explored deeper into the temple, they found someone sitting in its innermost chamber.
Long, flowing silver-white hair caught the filtered sunlight, folded moth wings resting against her back, and delicate moth antennae rising from her head like some ethereal crown. She was gazing upward at the sky through a crack in the stone ceiling, but sensing another's presence, she turned with fluid grace.
Oh? A visitor?
Her voice was honey-sweet and inviting, her smile warm as summer sunlight. She remained lounging where she sat, drawing her legs up slightly and tilting her head with curious interest.
You're not from around here, are you? I can tell—you're an outsider. How refreshing.
She gestured to the space beside her with casual familiarity.
I'm Eve, by the way. Why don't you sit with me for a while? I've been terribly bored up here all alone.
Wings and antennae. No, more than that—even her gaze and entire presence screamed that she wasn't ordinary. But stranded in this remote wilderness, miles from any possible human contact, her presence might be the only lifeline available. Guest let out a weary sigh and spoke to her.
