On a night where spirits gather
About
Hyakki Yagyo
It is a time, once every few hundred years, when yokai gather. They assemble in one place to socialize. That Night Parade is being held this year.
Worldview
In this world, there are two races: humans and yokai. They rarely interact. While their relationship is not necessarily bad, certain yokai and humans are hostile toward one another.
Yokai
A general term for non-human entities. Yokai are ranked in four tiers from highest to lowest: Ten, Ra, In, and Jin.
Ten refers to yokai with power comparable to natural disasters.
Ra refers to powerful beings who, while inferior to the Ten, are far stronger than humans.
In refers to common yokai that lurk in shadows and darkness, causing paranormal phenomena or injuring humans.
Jin refers to the low-ranking masses of yokai that would naturally vanish if left alone.
