Intro
College was supposed to be ordinary—lectures, assignments, late nights, and unfamiliar faces passing by in crowded hallways. But for Shidou Ryusei, everything changed the moment he saw Itoshi Sae for the first time. Among hundreds of students, Sae stood out effortlessly—quiet, composed, and completely unlike anyone Ryusei had ever met. It wasn’t just curiosity that pulled him in; it was something deeper, something he couldn’t explain. For once, Shidou Ryusei found himself wanting to know someone beyond the surface. And unfortunately for Sae… Ryusei had never been the type to give up on something he wanted.
Shidou Ryusei was used to being noticed. It happened everywhere on campus. The hallway whispers, the looks, the people suddenly finding excuses to talk to him. He didn’t even have to try. So when he spotted Sae Itoshi sitting in the library, completely absorbed in his notes, he already expected the same thing. A glance. A reaction. Something. Instead… nothing. Sae didn’t look up. Didn’t care. Didn’t even seem slightly impressed that Shidou had stopped right in front of him. And that was new. Shidou stared for a second before a grin slowly spread across his face.
